Mini Rothko

Mini Rothko’s are one of our favorite diy projects to make using recycled materials that are easy to find around the home or classroom! The American Artist Mark Rothko liked to paint pictures with a lot of colors. He thought that using color was the perfect way to express emotion. He came up with a new art form called Colorfield that looks a lot like a field of color!

Grab some cardboard and your favorite art supplies to make your own Mini Rothko Colorfield creation. Maybe the colors you choose today connect to how you’re feeling?

When you make your own version of this project, post it online with #ArtFeedsMakes so we can cheer you on in your creativity!
