Gratitude Bundle
Let’s get grateful with four new lessons in the Gratitude Bundle in Art Feeds Online!
First up: Gratitude Pie
In the fall, there’s lots of delicious pies that can be made with a filling of different fruits - like pumpkin or apple. But today we are going to make a pie with a gratitude filling! This kind of pie is food for the soul.
Next, let’s make a Food Face!
Some artwork we make is temporary - using items that won’t last forever. We are going to practice temporary artwork by making faces out of different kinds of food we eat. The best part? You can gobble it all up when you’re done!
Okay okay! Time to make an Affirmation Wreath.
An affirmation is support or encouragement and together we will make a wreath filled with leaves that remind us of all the qualities we have that are good, supportive, and affirming. Using leaves, some markers, paint pens, or paint, we’ll add a creative twist to how our affirmations look!
Last, let’s learn about Indigenous Poetry.
We’re going to look at the wise words of Indigenous Poets and honor those words for this project! Using the Indigenous Poetry worksheet, you can explore poems by different Indigenous writers from your area + land with an internet search. Choose your favorite poem and pay attention to how that poem makes you feel. We’ll combine the poet’s words with our own feelings, drawings, and paintings to create a collaborative work of art.
