A #MOVEFOR38 THANK YOU

We asked you to #Movefor38 to Raise Your 38 and WOW you showed up! You ran, walked, hiked, cycled, hula-hooped, pickleballed, did crossfit, lifted weights, participated in HIIT workouts, had dance parties +more. Every minute you moved raised funds and awareness for our cause and led us to surpassing our fundraising goal with a total of $30,325 in donations!

Sincerely, thank you.

38 is a meaningful number to us, because it represents one child in our programs. One child with a unique story, lived experience, with their own hardships and joy. We are in the midst of an adolescent mental health crisis, with data that stuns us. You don't have to look far to see the effects. Alarmingly, according to the CDC, 3 in 5 teen girls felt persistently sad and hopeless, and 1 in 4 teen girls had suicidal ideation, and teen boys reported an increase in anxiety and isolation, to share just a few.

But there is hope, and you are part of that.

We truly believe that Art Feeds programs, which create brave spaces where little artists process big feelings from the start, can change the trajectory of the adolescent mental health crisis. Art Feeds methods and curriculum are designed to increase empathy, compassion, teamwork, creativity, and expression for mental and emotional wellness. The programs are beneficial for every child, and thanks to you, we're impacting 25,000 children this coming school year.

Our strategy is an upstream approach to meet the most vulnerable children where they are, in classrooms and communities around the world.  We dare to imagine a world where children learn from the start that emotions aren't something to stifle, but important information to process and experience. A world where students are fueled in the skills they seem to innately know- to care for each other, be fully embodied, chase wild creativity, take risks, express themselves, have compassion, and to work as a team. That imagined world is why we do the work that we do.

You are helping us chase that dream down, one child at a time.

In Gratitude,

meg + The Art Feeds Team
