Support our Northwest Arkansas expansion this year through Art Feeds Day!
This mural project is our first collaboration with Upstream Art based out of Division of Agriculture at University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. This unique and engaging educational program utilizes art to communicate the function and importance of storm drains and we're honored to be a part of this collaboration. For one afternoon, an Upstream Art representative and the Art Feeds team hosted a workshop for 4th and 5th graders at Parson Hills Elemetnary that focused on the environmental importance of storm drains and also engaged students to develop ideas as to how to decorate their very own storm drain at The Jones Center! After this 2 hours workshop, the Art Feeds team took the ideas and drafts to the concrete and painted the story inspired by the students' imaginations.
A few weeks later, we revealed this mural with these same students. May were excited about the location because their friends and families frequent the Jones Center and now their ideas will be public for all to see- plus, they can now be a beacon of education about the environmental issues surrounding this area!View More Murals
