Mural
Eastmorland Elementary

Eastmorland is a beautiful example of our student inspired murals. The students were lead by our educators through the entire brainstorming process. As a team, they decided on a theme (or themes in this case) and began to brainstorm whimsical images that fit their theme. We then turned over hundreds of sticky notes filled with our students' images to one of our amazing mural artists– Samantha Matthews. She took the students' ideas and created a one-of-a-kind mural. This mural features everything from: a friendship fun house to a globe shaped ferris wheel to a weightlifter balancing a bar of ice cream and donuts.

The themes of the mural were Dreams and Perseverance + Friendship and Unity. The student body tied in a vote over the two themes which resulted in a split mural. Which worked perfect with the split location that was previously chosen!

We want to extend a special thank you to our Eastmorland mural sponsors, CoCo's, Anne Sharp, and Lauren Langland, and our generous volunteers who implemented this mural.
