Chapters | How cool would it be to have Art Feeds in your community?! We are expanding to bring therapeutic art and creative education programs for children in need nation wide. In preparation for the Art Feeds Chapter application process, we ask that you fill out the application to identify the community you wish to serve. Art Feeds is looking for compassionate and fearless individuals to start Art Feeds programs in their communities. This commitment is a large one, as Art Feeds is a sustainable and long-term program in the community. This is the first step of the application process. You will be contacted for additional materials throughout the entire process. Here are some things to consider before you apply: Who will Art Feeds programs serve in my community? How will I sustain the programs both financially and with staff/volunteers? Art Feeds lessons costs $1 per lesson, per child. Can you reach your demographic on a consistent basis with that cost? Who are potential community partners?

Campus Programs | Art Feeds Campus Rep Programs enable students to play a major role in the sustainability of our programs. Campus Reps are paired with an AF staffer to help the passionate supporter plan two events per semester representing Art Feeds mission in their communities. These can be as simple as an AF informational booth at a community event or as wild as a traveling circus across the school’s commons. We want you to use your creativity to help the kids our in our programs develop their creativity.
Lead Educator Position | We’re now hiring Lead Educators for Art Feeds programs. These part time postions will be paid. Responsibilities include: leading lessons at their designated school every week for a semester, managing their team of volunteer educators, helping critique & restructure lessons to fit the needs of the children. Looking for applicants with experience in Education field or managing classrooms.
Educator | If you live in the Joplin area, you could be an educator in Art Feeds Joplin programs! We design our programs to ensure that Art Feeds students work with the same educators every week, so they feel comfortable and supported while creating. This is a fun and engaging volunteer opportunity where you would be operating Art Feeds programs on-the-ground. You can give a 1-8 hours every week to serving a school or classroom with Art Feeds programs. You better believe you’ll make some little friends out of the deal, too.
Internship | This is not a typical internship- you will not spend your time with us chained to a copy machine or perpetually fetching coffee (although we love our coffee). Art Feeds interns play an integral role in the success of our programs. You will have both individual and group assignments which you will own and develop. Art Feeds HQ provides a challenging and innovative environment where our team members are mobilized to give generously to the children we serve.
We offer internships in the areas of accounting, PR, education, curriculum-building, social networking, grant writing and design. We are looking for independent, self-motivated, and creative interns to join our crew at Art Feeds HQ in Joplin, MO. These internships are unpaid, but we can work with your institution to help you get credit for your time on our team.
Volunteer | Art Feeds volunteers make our world go round. We frequently need volunteers to help in our offices, provide man-power for events, fund-raise their shoes off, stuff art packs, join dancing and singing telegrams, help in our classrooms and much much more- all in Joplin, MO. Our volunteers enable us to reach the children benefiting from our programs directly. There are running projects we need your help with weekly! Host an event | If you’d like to host an event for us, we’d like to bear hug you. We love fundraisers, we love creative events planned by compassionate supporters. Some successful events in the past have been benefit concerts, coffee house nights, bake sales, and community art workshops. We want your event to use your creative juices- we will give you all the tools you need to pull off your fabulous event. If you decide to plan an event for us, drop us a line and we’ll set you up with a staffer to aid you in your compassionate ventures.
The Palette | The Palette is a community of givers and philanthropists committed to funding Art Feeds overhead. Just like any business, we have needs to keep our office running, which insures that our programs run smoothly. This is anything from print cartridges, to our office internet and heat, to salaries, to fundraising event costs. The Palette is a membership program where the givers provide a specific amount or in-kind donation to our operating costs each year. This is an ambitious undertaking by the Art Feeds staff to ensure every dollar given to our $1 per child per lesson movement is not used for overhead. Interested in becoming a philanthropic member?
