why GIVE
There are two ways to give. Art Feeds uses the 100% model, so all public and individual donations go directly to our children. Donate to our children’s programs, or become a member of The Palette, a community of members who believe in Art Feeds mission and provide in-kind donations and sponsors overhead cost yearly.
Art Feeds cost breakdowns are simple- $1 per lesson, per child with a $10 cost per child to provide an essential Art Feeds Art Pack at the beginning of each school year.*
Every single dollar counts. So, with your dollar you could buy a knick-knack at the Dollar General, one Big Mac, a gas station fountain drink, four gumballs, or one student therapeutic art and creative education for one lesson that could impact them for a lifetime.
Here’s what your money well spent looks like:
- $1 provides one deserving student an Art Feeds lesson
- $10 provides the essential Art Feeds Art Pack given to every child at the launch of our programs
- $22 provides the average classroom with their lesson cost for the week
- $46 provides one child with Art Feeds programs for one school year
- $250 provides our average school with lessons for every student for the week
- $792 provides a classroom and all its students with Art Feeds programs for the entire school year
- $1000 Provides lessons for 1,000 students
*Please note that the cost of art pack fluctuates depending on the amount of in-kind donations and fluctuating cost of art supplies. The $1 per lesson per child is our average cost, not EVERY lesson costs a dollar, some cost more, some cost less. We pride ourselves on the ability to stretch a dollar.

- Art Feeds programs reach over 1,000 children weekly. That’s a lot of crayons, markers, paint, pens, clay, photos…. the list goes on and on. You can help! All it takes is some passion and art supply gusto. To host an art supply drive for our little ones, email brooke@artfeeds.org for a running list of supplies needed and all the tools you need to host a successful supply drive.
The Palette
Be a part of a community of givers and philanthropists committed to funding Art Feeds overhead. Just like any business, we have needs to keep our office running, which insures that our programs run smoothly. This is anything from print cartridges, to our office internet and heat, to salaries, to fundraising event costs. The Palette is a membership program where the givers provide a specific amount or in-kind donation to our operating costs each year.This is an ambitious undertaking by the Art Feeds staff to insure every dollar given to our $1 per child per lesson movement is not used for overhead.
