Posted On May 30 2014 Missouri Baptist Children’s Home is an agency that helps foster children. They approached us about spicing up their offices (frequented by children of all ages) and we were totally on board. Because we think kids have the most creative ideas & widest imaginations, we requested that they be in on the design process. We hosted a workshop one evening to see what they had in mind for the walls. You can see below that we transposed their ideas onto the walls in a bright, whimsical style to bring them all together! Hot air balloons, ice princesses, polka dot hills, a queen with room for everybody and a very colorful little city. It was inspired by the little ones who are in that foyer regularly- and that gives us the most joy. Kris Lowry at MBCH described it best in this interview with KZRG: “I thought it would be a great idea if we could do something theraputic and healing for them because they’re going through a rough time in their lives, you know, a lot of uncertainty. So I thought it would be great to partner with Art Feeds and have the kids leave their imprint on our wall literally and have something that’s beneficial to them, get some theraputic lesson out of it and get some enjoyment as well.” Our favorite: the statement “Everybody Should Dream!”. Straight from a child’s drawing & now the first thing visitors see when they approach the MBCH office. Did you catch the other mural installation at Irving Elementary that was installed last week? Wait ‘till you see what we have on tap for the summer!
