This summer, we had programs all over the Joplin area. We asked one class of kiddos at Art Feeds Art Camp what they thought of our projects:
Molly: “I loved art camp. We had lots of things that I love, painting, drawing, dancing, singing, acting. It helps kids express what they want to do and express themselves. One word: Awesome.”
Sophie: “I loved it because I liked the first day because we drew in our notebooks. It was really fun, a lot of fun. It was so different than any other camp that I’ve been to. We got to dance, um, right now we are doing drama and acting, its really different. I realized yesterday that we were doing all different kind of art, not just drawing. Art of ballet, art of dancing and art of music!”
Caroline: “It was super fun! Because we got to take things home and I love all the things we made. My favorite thing is the poster we made of ourselves and our sketchbooks. I think other kids should come to camp because it is just so fun and you’ll like it a lot. It is so cool and I hope we have it next year! “
Samantha: “I thought it was fun and creative. Different themes, all cool themes. I had a great time, I got to see different things I haven’t seen before. The teachers are so nice. One of the projects I liked best was poetry. I love art and its fun and creative, you can be different and cool and you can express yourself and that’s exactly what Art Feeds is!”
Katelan: “I really didn’t expect it, I thought we would just do one type of art. I didn’t want to do dancing or acting but now I’m considering it. I like all the art projects, they were really creative, the dancing was really fun. I actually made a lot of friends too. When my mom signed me up for it I was kind of like ‘eh, I don’t know’ so then I did, I’m so happy I did!”
So there you have it! We wanted to share this because you- Art Feeds supporters- mobilize us to keep creative, keep growing & keep sharing. When we experience success and good reviews, you should see the fruits of it too. To see more of Art Feeds Art Camp, check out this series of blogs.
